»Some things come together immediately. Others need a little time.’

The Depeche Mode group will arrive in Zagreb on July 23, 2023, as part of the Memento Mori Tour, which will support their 15th studio album of the same name. Today, this iconic duo announced the name of the opening act that will warm up the Zagreb audience before their long-awaited performance. We are talking about the British group HÆLOS, an ambient and trip-hop group, which has been winning audiences around the world for a decade with its unique electro-pop sound.

HÆLOS fuse emotive melodies with cinematic soundscapes and evocative electronic production.

HÆLOS, known individually as Lotti Benardout, Dom Goldsmith and Daniel Vildosola, started their musical journey in late 2014 from London. Each of their colorful film songs, dressed in electronic clothing, seems to show a long journey from despair to relief, stress to refuge, the basic dynamics of the entire urban life. Their music has an undeniable contemporary fervor, and their mesmerizing live performances have taken them to the biggest stages across North America, Europe and Australia, with appearances at every major festival from Coachella to Lollapalooza, Pitchfork and even Glastonbury. More information can be found on their official website haelos.com, as well as on the Spotify and YouTube channels.

The Memento Mori Tour is Depeche Mode’s nineteenth tour, and the first in more than five years. The band’s most recent tour, the 2017-2018 Global Spirit Tour, was their longest-running tour with more than 130 shows across Europe and North America, in front of more than 3 million fans, and was recorded as one of the highest-grossing tours of the year. Memento Mori will be Depeche Mode’s 15th studio album and the follow-up to 2017’s critically acclaimed Spirit, which reached number 1 in 11 countries and made the TOP 5 in over 20 countries. Memento Mori, released on Columbia Records, will be released worldwide in the spring of 2023.

They have sold more than 100 million albums and played to more than 35 million fans worldwide and remain a particularly influential musical force in the world. An indelible inspiration to fans, critics and artists alike, Depeche Mode continues to forge ahead, and with the Memento Mori album and upcoming tour, they open the latest chapter in their unrivaled musical legacy.
