SYMPONICA ON THE ROCK held their third concert after the two sold out concerts in Zagreb and it was a great privilege to be there and witness all generations enjoying pure Rock energy. And by that, I mean all generations, from parents to grandparents and their children and grandchildren!! The atmosphere in the hall was pure amazing as hardly anyone could remain seated from the very first sounds of all our favorite songs!
This spectacular performance by the orchestra, band and soloists delighted the audience and proved that Symphony and Rock is loved greatly by the audience and will always be welcome in Zagreb.
Concert hall Vatroslav Lisinski was the perfect venue to this great celebration of classics of Rock and hopefully there will be many more occasions like this in the future! The orchestra covered many of our favorite songs from: Queen, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Europe, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Scorpions, AC/DC, Metallica, The Rolling Stones and others.
It’s impossible to pick out the best highlights but some of them were the performances of: “Paranoid” (Black Sabbath), “Smoke on the Water” (Deep Purple), “Whole Lotta Love” (Led Zeppelin), “Nothing Else Matters” (Metallica), “Sweet Child O’ Mine“ and “Don’t Cry” (Guns N’ Roses).
But maybe the absolute highlights were the masterful performances of “The Show Must Go On“ (Queen) and “The Final Countdown” (Europe). And that is the greatest success of Symphonika on the Rock: to add an additional value to the most beloved masterpieces of our time and make us remember their interpretation and hold it dear as a great memory!!
The band stated: ” Our mission is to offer unforgettable concerts that give a new form to the greatest rock classics, in a show that delights and attracts audiences of all ages.” We must admit the mission was fulfilled as the band went above and beyond our expectations!
The band prepared a magnificent concert during which singers and special guests took turns on stage and collaborated with an energetic band and orchestra, all of which was enriched by an impressive scenography and stunning light show, lasers, LED walls and projections. Rock intertwines with symphonic, classical and modern merge, the sound power and emotional charge of the most legendary hits merge with the powerful and magnificent sound of a large orchestra. We experienced pure perfection and we highly recommend seeing Symphonica on the Rock on the first chance you got!
The concert reminded us that all those classic rock masterpieces are not just classics, they are an integral part of our lives! Those are the songs we grew up to, the songs that shaped us and gave us comfort in times we felt there was none! Thank you to all members of Symphonica on the Rock orchestra for bringing tears to our eyes, the tears of joy as remembering our favorite songs means to remember the best parts of our lives. Symphonica on the Rock gave their unique interpretation to many of our most favourite songs and that gave them another life and a unique memory to remember them by. Thank you for the great evening filled with emotion and positive energy!! The orchestra and the band received standing ovations and encore calls which proved that Zagreb still has a great taste in music and remains in love with good old rock ‘n’ roll,
Another occasion to see Symphonica on the Rock is on May 17 in Rijeka’s Zamet in the city that has always breathed and lived rock, so this symphonic masterpiece performances will be greatly welcomed!
