On that hellish Wednesday near the end of summer, we are bringing another legendary death metal band to Zagreb, namely Malevolent Creation!!!
They visited us for the first time in 2001, when in SKUC together with Rotten Sound, In Aeternum and Hateplo (in other words Phil Fasciane’s other band which is the backbone of Malevolent Creation) they destroyed everything in front of them. The second time was in 2006, at perhaps one of the most legendary death metal concerts in the history of Močvara, but also of metal itself in Croatia, when they came to visit us together with Bolt Thrower, Necrophagist and Nightrage. Only when we read the lineup, we can’t believe that this concert happened here. Literally an evening full of hits. This year, 18 years after that concert, Malevolent Creation is coming to visit us again!
Formed back in 1987, they have behind them 13 albums and a lot of compilations / demos / splits. They have a couple of classics, namely the debut The Ten Commandments, followed by Retribution and Stillborn. The mentioned albums will forever be recorded in history as one of the best albums of the genre, with The Ten Commandments being the album that, if we were to compile a list of the most important death metal albums in the history of death metal, would certainly have to be on the same list. A band that doesn’t need much introduction, a band that is visiting us for the third time in its 37-year long career.

Belphegor. A band that has been behind a string of controversies since its inception. They have 12 albums behind them, countless tours, and they have already become regular guests with us. The last time they were in Boogaloo was in 2021 with Bathuska, before that they were in Močvara with Suffocation and Hate, we also had the opportunity to see them in Boogaloo in the old days with Nile and Grave, and they were also in Boogaloo at Zagreb Metal Fest together with Sodom , Unleashed and Amorphis. Which means this is their 4th time coming to Boogaloo. They released their last album called The Devils in 2022, and in the last couple of years they are not mongoloid hyper-fast as before, but it is still an aggressive and slightly melodic mix of black metal and death metal that loves temptation. Salzburg has never had a more controversial band.

A true Austrian death machine incarnated in 2010 after an anger management course. Born to rip, they have 3 extremely aggressive albums behind them and on this occasion they are coming to us for the first time! Their last album, Vila Postmortem Irrumatio, was released in 2024, and on the wings of that last album, which came out for Transcending Obscurity, they come to break our legs and pierce our eardrums.

And what a treat at the end! Confess is a band from Iran whose two members were sentenced to prison terms for speaking out against religion and against the regime in the music they created. When they paid bail, both defected to Norway. Nikan was sentenced to 14 and a half years in prison plus 74 lashes, and Arash was sentenced to two years in prison. An incredible story of two people who, despite everything, still survived and continue to make music and do not give up.
They were formed in 2010 and have 3 albums and a bunch of singles behind them. Their music is a bit softer metal than the above, but their story is therefore harder than everything we wrote above. They released their last album in 2022, which has a subtle name: “Revenge at All Costs”, and under the attack of their evil hooves, we will witness something extremely rare and interesting, because it is not that we always have the opportunity to host guests from Persia in Zagreb.
