DREAM THEATER ON THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR THE BAND ARRIVES AT ARENA ZAGREB!
The cult line-up of Dream Theater – James LaBrie, John Myung, John Petrucci, Mike Portnoy and Jordan Rudess tour together for the first time in 14 years!
Dream Theater, winners of the Grammy Award, pioneers of progressive metal and one of the most important bands of that genre, will arrive in Zagreb on October 29 as part of a major world tour on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of their work. The concert will be held in Arena Zagreb, and the band will play Dream Theater classics and favorite songs for three hours
fans from his rich catalog. The European leg of the tour will visit 23 cities, starting on October 20 and lasting until November 24, and Zagreb is the only city in the region where these legendary metallers perform. Ticket pre-sale starts on Tuesday, April 9, and general sale on Friday, April 12.
“40th Anniversary Tour 2024 – 2025.” will also mark the return of the band’s original drummer, Mike Portnoy, who returned to the band after a 13-year absence. This is how the golden line-up of the band comes to Zagreb, consisting of John Petrucci on guitar, James LaBrie on vocals, John Myung on bass and Jordan Rudess on keyboards, along with Mike Portonoy. Dream Theater is currently preparing their 16th studio album and the first with Portnoy after “Black Clouds & Silver Linings” from 2009 in their DTHQ studio. More information about the upcoming release will be revealed in the future.

“An Evening With Dream Theater” will bring the audience in Zagreb three full hours of full-blooded Dream Theater concerts, without an opening act, with a big production; light, video and public address. Their concerts are also known for a dose of humor, casualness and improvisation.
Progressive metal pioneers Dream Theater share a unique bond with one of the most passionate fan bases worldwide, as evidenced by their three Grammy Award nominations, the 2022 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for “The Alien” and 15 million records sold worldwide. Their second album “Images & Words” from 1992 earned a gold certification and made Rolling Stone’s list of “100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time”. Guitar World placed the follow-up album “Awake” at the top of their “Superunknown: 50 Legendary Albums That Defined 1994″ list. The fans voted for the album “Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory” from 1999 as the “number one progressive rock album of all time” in a 2012 Rolling Stone poll, and Classic Rock ranked it “15. the greatest concept album”.
In 2009, “Black Clouds & Silver Linings” reached No. 6 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, and in 2013, Dream Theater held three Top 10 spots. With three platinum and two gold videos, the group was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2010. In 2019, the band continued to expand their audience when they released “Distance Over Time” to critical acclaim and great commercial success. On their 15th full-length and second studio release for “A View From The Top Of The World”, the band continued to challenge and push their musical boundaries – something they’ve done for over 30 years performing together. In 2023, the band launched the first DREAMSONIC Tour – a traveling progressive music spectacle.
