Cult Slovenian music collective Laibach is returning to Zagreb, to Tvornica kulture, on Friday, April 14, 2023.
The performance is part of the big European tour "Love Is Still Alive", and this winter, before the ZG concert, Laibach will perform in Scandinavia as well as in the Czech Republic, France, Germany, and Austria.
The release of "Love is Still Alive" continues on "Iron Sky - The Coming Race" movie, which ends with the destruction of our planet and the Moon. Then begins the exodus of the last surviving Earthlings who are forced to look for a new planet to live on. They're aiming for Mars, but they're not sure they'll get there. The work follows a journey through the solar system, but it is also a journey through the musical genres of recent decades. The media for the release say that it exudes the vibe of old country or incredible hits and westerns. It was released as a sequel to the music from the film, and the band plans to release a video game on the same theme.
In addition to the new material, Laibach will also present selected songs from the recently released albums, the theatrical project "Wir sind das Volk", as well as "Sketches of the Red Districts" on the tour. It will also include insights into upcoming projects, as well as a selection of Laibach classics from the early 80s onwards, and a special performance of Leonard Cohen's prophetic song "The Future", which also ended up on the list of the best singles of 2022 according to the influential The Quietus.
Tickets for the Zagreb show go on sale on Thursday, January 12 at 9:00 a.m., and can be purchased at a pre-sale price of 20 euros. This price will be valid until February 19, and the day after it will rise to 23 euros. On the day of the concert, you will need to pay 26 euros for the entrance fee.
