Get ready for an unforgettable evening of epic power metal as DragonForce is coming to Croatia for the first time! This legendary British band known for their lightning-fast playing and fantastic melodies will perform on July 2, 2025 at Tvornica kulture. As part of their European “Warp Speed Warriors” tour, this will be their only performance in the region. Early bird tickets for 33 euros can be purchased via Hangtime ticketing from Monday, March 3. Their pre-sale price is 37 euros, and on the day if they remain they will cost 40 euros. Tickets will soon be available at the Dirty Old Shop.
Founded in 1999 in London, DragonForce have gained global fame thanks to their distinctive sound that combines fantasy motifs, ultra-fast guitar solos and incredible virtuosity. Their style is often described as “extreme power metal”, and is characterized by fast rhythms, melodic harmonies and lyrics inspired by epic fantasy and video games. Interestingly, their first name was DragonHeart, and they have been using their current name since 2002.
It was founded by guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, a duo known for their incredible technical skills and solo parts that push the boundaries of speed and precision. Herman Li, originally from Hong Kong, in addition to playing guitar, is also involved in production, and is also known for experimenting with guitar effects and technological innovations. Sam Totman, from New Zealand, is the band’s main composer and responsible for most of their hits.
On vocals is Marc Hudson, who joined the band in 2011 and has since become a key element of their sound, bringing powerful and emotional vocals. Alicia Vigil, a talented bassist from the USA, has been in charge of strong and dynamic bass lines since 2022. The drums are played by Gee Anzalone, an Italian virtuoso known for his incredibly fast and precise blast-beats, while the keyboards are played by Vadim Pruzhanov, whose orchestral arrangements and keyboard solos have become DragonForce’s trademark.
Their most famous song, “Through the Fire and Flames”, was released in 2006 on the album Inhuman Rampage and became a real phenomenon in the metal world. With its dizzying 200 bpm tempo, incredibly complex guitar solos and epic melody, the song has won millions of fans around the world. It was especially celebrated through the video game Guitar Hero III, where it became legendary for its extreme difficulty and demanding sections, and today it is one of the most listened to power metal hits of all time.
