French post black metal/shoegaze heroes Alcest arrive on 21.10.2024. premiere in Croatia! The setting is the Boogaloo Great Hall. Tickets at a presale price of 32 euros can be purchased online through Hangtime ticketing (https://tickets.hangtimeagency.com/) or at Dirty Old Shop (Tratinska 34). If there are any left, on the day of the concert, 35 euros will need to be allocated for the ticket.
Alcest is a French post-black metal band from Bagnols-sur-Cèze, founded by Neige (Stéphane Paut). The band started in 2000 as a black metal solo project of Neige, then became a trio, but members Aegnor and Argoth left the band after the release of their first demo in 2001, leaving Neige as the only member. Over time, Neige began incorporating elements of shoegaze and post-metal into the project’s sound from 2005 onwards, and is considered a pioneer of the fusion genre known as blackgaze. In 2009, drummer Winterhalter from Les Discrets joined Alcest, after eight years with Neige as the only permanent member.
Since its inception, Alcest has released six studio albums and a number of EPs and split releases, while the seventh studio album has just been announced for 2024, and this concert will be one of those as part of the promotional tour for the aforementioned “Les Chants de l’ Aurora”.
