After a little more than 5 years, the legends of the progressive metal scene Evergrey are returning to Zagreb, more precisely to Močvar, to delight the local audience once again, just like they did in 2019 in this club! On this occasion, he will promote his 14th studio album, “Theories of Emptiness” with 11 new songs, which was released on June 7. They will be joined on tour by the Italian-American progressives Klogr, and the evening will be opened by the band Inner Vitriol, also from Italy. Tickets at a presale price of 32 euros can be purchased through Hangtime ticketing or in the Dirty Old Shop for a hard copy. It will cost 35 euros at the entrance.
Evergrey was formed in 1993 in probably the most metal city in the world, Gothenburg. Three years after their foundation and after they had put together a stable line-up, they released their first album “The Dark Discovery”. In their specific, darker progressive / power expression, they deal with topics such as paranoia, cults, abuse, kidnappings and the like, and their albums are often of a conceptual nature. Last December, they released the compilation “From Dark Discoveries To Heartless Portraits”, marking 30 years of work.
The latest album released on Napalm Records was produced by the band’s founder, Tom. With Englund and ex-drummer Jonas Ekdahl, it was mixed by Adam “Nolly” Getgood (ex-Periphery), while Thomas “Plec” Johansson, known for his work with bands such as Soilwork and Onslaught, was responsible for the mastering. As a guest on the song “Cold Dreams”, it is definitely worth highlighting the guest appearance of Jonas Renkse, vocalist from Katatonia.
Members: Tom S. Englund – vocals, guitar. Henrik Danhage – guitar, backing vocals Rikard Zander – keyboards, backing vocals, Simen Sandnes – drums, Johan Niemann – bass, backing vocals.

Klogr is a four-member band formed in 2011 in the Italian city of Carpi. Their style can be described as alternative metal with progressive elements. Their name is a dedication to Weber-Fechner’s law in the field of sensory psychology and perception, and its formula is S=Klog, which is read as “Key-Log-Are”. They’ve toured with bands like Prong, Infected Rain and Butcher Babies, and it’s worth noting their collaboration with the environmental organization Sea Shepherd, just like their bandmates Gojira do. They are known for their ultra-energetic and fierce live performances, so everyone should check out that reputation on December 4 in Močvara. A day earlier, the bands will perform in Belgrade’s Dorćol Platz, also organized by Hangtime.
