Mystifier is a Brazilian black metal band that was formed back in 1989. From the very start of their career, they turned to a more aggressive musical expression with a touch of satanism in combination with the good old classic extreme underground sound that exudes precisely that Brazil. Due to the era in which they were formed and the longevity of the band, we can place Mystifier at the very top of the Brazilian metal scene, together with bands like Sepultura, Sarcofago, Vulcano, etc.
They released their first demo back in 1989 called “Tormenting the Holy Trinity” and it took them a year to release their first full length album which they simply called “Wicca”. It was there that the band’s breakthrough to the European market took place, as they were released by Osmose Productions from France, which at that time already had an enviable list of bands on its roster. Today, in 2023, when we look at that era, they appeared together on the label that just before them released Immortal’s Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism, Blasphemy’s Gods of War, Impaled Nazarene’s single, Marduk’s Those of the Unlight… you get the picture.
On this tour, they are promoting their last album, which treads with its primitivism.

North London, a couple of years treading this millennium; an Englishman and a Finn found each other, cursed everything they could several times, saw that they shared the same spell of universal hatred and made Craven Idol. They did several tours, played at a couple of top festivals. They had their last tour with Mystifier in 2018 and as part of it they played at the legendary Never Surrender festival in Berlin. They have three albums behind them, but the last one, Forked Tongues (2021), is a work that definitely stands out. First time here!
