As part of the European “WORLDS BEYOND ALL RECKONING” tour, Canadian blackers Panzerfaust are returning to Močvar, and they will be joined as co-headliners by their Danish black metal brothers Afsky. This extremely dark concert night will take place on Saturday, October 21. Tickets at the early bird price of 13 euros are available for purchase until September 4 or while stocks last at the Dirty Old Shop (Tratinska 34), after which the presale price will be 16 euros.
Panzerfaust was formed in 2005 in Toronto, and they like to call themselves black metal fundamentalists. They named themselves after German anti-tank weapons. So far, they have released a total of five albums in addition to three: The Dark Age of Militant Paganism (2008), Jehovah – Jireh: The Divine Anti-Logos, followed by The Suns of Perdition trilogy from the album “Chapter I: War, Horrid War” (2019), Chapter II: Render unto Eden and Chapter III: The Astral Drain. They played with bands like Slayer, Dimmu Borgir, Marduk, Belphegor, Vital Remains, and four years ago they had a great show in Močvara when they played before UADA. The guys really rock hard and hard, so you shouldn’t miss them! Band members: Goliath – vocals, Brock “Kaizer” Van Dijk – guitar, vocals Thomas Gervais – bass, Alexander Kartashov – drums.
Afsky is the independent musical project of the Dane Ole Luka (also known as Heltekvad and former member of the band Solbrud), which is based on traditional black metal, mixed with elements of folk and doom with a pinch of wildness and melancholy. Afsky was not created with the intention of being a live performance project, but more of a personal project of Ole’s for Ole, and then later on at the urging of a live band. He has released three albums so far: Sorg (2018), Ofte jeg drømmer mig død (2020) and Om hundrede år, which saw the light of day in the spring of this year. Afsky has shared stages with bands such as: Wolves in the Throne Room, Winterfyltteth, Uada, Mork, Spectral Wound, Mayhem, Panopticon, etc. Band members besides Ole are Simon Frenning Sørensen (drums), Simon Skotte Krogh (guitar) and Martin Jørgensen (bass).
