British djent pioneers TesseracT arrive in Croatia for the first time! On this occasion at Boogaloo on January 15, 2025, he will promote his latest album “War of Being”. They will be joined on tour by French metalcore band Novelists led by new singer Camille Contreras and excellent Australian prog metallers The Omnific! The whole story was nailed down by the uncredited DJ Barby.
The presale price of tickets is 34 euros and can be bought online through Hangtime ticketing and in the Dirty Old Shop (for hard copies), and if there are any left, they will cost 38 euros at the entrance. EARLY BIRD TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT.
Founded in 2003 in the English city of Milton Keynes, TesseracT are rightfully recognized globally as pioneers of djent, a direction within progressive metal, although their music has evolved over time in much broader directions. With their debut and in every sense complex album “One” from 2011, they strongly drew attention to themselves, and their desire for experimentation and obvious non-recognition of genre boundaries came to the fore in the next three albums: Altered State (2013), Polaris (2015. ) and Sonder (2018). In September 2023, War of Being, their fifth album, which the band members claim is certainly their best so far, saw the light of day: “We realized that now we have to do something completely different”. Suffice it to say that they even made a video game themed around this album. The guys from TesseracT have a reputation as a great live band, as befits the pioneers of djent, and they will surely show and prove that on this occasion at Boogaloo. Band members are Daniel Tompkins (vocals), Acle Kahney (guitar), James Monteith (guitar), Amos Williams (bass) and Jay Postones (drums).

Novelists is a French metal band that conquered the global metalcore scene with its unique blend of progressive and melodic elements. Founded in Paris in 2013, the band quickly gained popularity and attracted a very loyal audience due to their distinctive sound and emotionally charged songs. They drew attention to themselves with their debut album “Souvenirs”, released in 2015, which presented a unique fusion of metalcore and progressive metal elements. Their music is characterized by complex guitar bravura, quite personal lyrics and the ability to seamlessly transition between melodic and aggressive parts. Over the years Novelists have continued to develop their sound and release acclaimed albums like “Noir” (2017) and the most current “Déja-Vu” (2022) which they will promote on this occasion. Last year, Camille Contreras joined them on vocals, and that certainly gave the band a new identity. See how it all sounds on January 15, 2025 at Boogaloo!

The Omnific was created in 2016 in Melbourne. It consists of bassists Matt Fackrell and Toby Peterson-Stewart and drummer Jerome Lematua. So far, they have released two albums and three EPs, and their debut “Escapades” had a very notable success in their native Australia. “The Law of Augmenting Returns” is the name of the second album that came out in June on Wild Thing Records and you will have the chance to hear it live on this occasion!
